Muttering...under our breath.
Murmuring...to a captive audience, or to anyone who will listen and agree.
Nitpicking...about the neighbor's lawn, or dog.
Complaining...it's too cold, too hot, too rainy. Let's change the time.
That'll fix it, but then we gripe anyway.
Protesting when God doesn't bless our little kingdom of one. So much energy.
Building, cleaning, making it look perfect. Or like someone else's.
That little flutter of fear can turn the whole flock.
Protesting...when we think something is unfair, or they have more than we do.
Being a "good person" or doing "Christian things" isn't enough to make up for the whining.
What the enemy doesn't want us to know is that our faith can help turn the flock back to Jesus. We just have to be able to recognize the little flutters and follow the right voice.
And not join in with the murmur nation.
